HOW WE WORK
-
Let’s start with a chat to understand your vision, needs and style preferences.
You can email Honor or William to start the conversation - Honor@pinfoldworkshop.co.uk william@pinfoldworkshop.co.uk

Following our initial conversation, we develop sketches exploring form, materials and finishes for your bespoke kitchen, cabinetry or handmade furniture commission. We’ll guide you through the finer details, from joinery techniques and textures to practical design elements.
Once the design is agreed, we prepare detailed technical drawings to guide our workshop through the making process.
-
At Pinfold Workshop, we cherish wood for its natural beauty, character and individuality. Every board is hand-selected for each bespoke kitchen, piece of cabinetry or handmade furniture commission, allowing the material to guide the final design.
Natural features such as shakes, knots, ripple, fleck and sap may appear in your finished piece unless otherwise specified. For us, these details are part of what makes solid wood so beautiful, no two pieces are ever exactly the same.
Wood samples are provided as a guide to help you choose your material and finish. You can also explore more of our timber, materials and finishes here.
-
We generally work to a 12-week lead time from receipt of deposit, though we can sometimes make and deliver pieces sooner where needed.
Please let us know at enquiry stage if you have a particular deadline, and we’ll do our best to help. Wherever possible, we also encourage clients to visit the workshop and see their piece take shape.
-
Every Pinfold Workshop commission is priced individually, reflecting the size, materials, finishes and complexity of the project. Whether we are making a bespoke kitchen, handmade cabinetry, fitted wardrobes or a one-off piece of furniture, each quote is carefully prepared around the specific requirements of the design.
A 10% deposit confirms your order and covers technical design development. This is calculated from the median point of your guide price and allows us to begin developing drawings, materials and details.
Once the drawings and final quoted price have been approved, a further payment is due to bring the total paid to 50% before production begins. This secures materials and schedules your commission into the workshop.
A further 40% payment is due on completion of making, before delivery and installation.
The final 10% invoice is payable once the project has been completed on site.

We offer a range of delivery and installation options depending on the nature of your bespoke furniture, kitchen or cabinetry commission. Each project is different, so delivery is priced according to the scale of the piece, the delivery address and the level of service required.
Where helpful, we can carry out a site visit for a small fee to gather access information and ensure delivery and installation runs smoothly.
For international commissions, import duties and local taxes are additional to the cost of delivery and will be invoiced in your region once the piece has arrived.
